Dublin – Dublin is the capital city and the largest city in Ireland. Its vibrancy, nightlife and tourist attractions are noteworthy, and it is the most popular entry point for international visitors to Ireland. As a city, it is disproportionately large for the size of the country where well over a quarter of Ireland's population lives in this metropolis. The city centre however, is quite small and easily explored just walking around. Most of the city's population live in suburbs, with only a fraction staying in high end residential and apartments.
Dublin is most crowded in summer with local and international tourists, if you're planning to visit the town in summer, make sure you show up early to major attractions such as the Dublin Castle to beat the long queue. While at it, visit the 'Dublinia and the Viking World', a heritage cenre in central Dublin that showcases early and medieval Viking settlement. Being a huge city, Dublin relies on its bus service as major transportation and so will you if you want to travel from one part to another. Buses don't carry extra change, you'll have to pay exact amount and in coins only. Better yet, buy a bus pass, it'll lessen the hassle of getting exact coin each time.
