Quaint village-like complex, spacious accommodation (inc garden, terrace and upstairs balcony), good swimming pools (which the kids were never out of), reasonable food in the restaurant, nearby supermarket. The beaches (dark sand/shingle) and town centre (which is great on a night - big choice of restaurants, some good street artists, not too lively) are just about within walking distance but the return (uphill) journey always seemed longer. Cheap hourly bus service into town from the complex and the local taxis are good value, although we found it useful to have a car to get around a bit further afield. The sea was occasionally a bit too rough for the kids to go swimming but I don't think that's typical. Only issue we had was that, when using the gas cooker one night, we couldn't turn the oven off (the control knob fell off). Being after 8pm, there was no-one in reception to help and the restaurant staff couldn't have cared less. There was no contact number to ring in case of emergencies. Ended up having to turn the gas off at the mains before the oven melted. Reception did respond pretty quickly in the morning though by sending out a handyman to fix it.

Absolutely fine for what we wanted to do
