Cable TV had very few channels and only one for the English speaking clients.

Room quite small (would have een a problem for a longer visit) Bathroom was huge though!

Breakfast is modest but can be ordered to rooms without charge. Room was clean and well-kept. Triple room was actually double w/ extra bed. We got our room with windows to inner yard so the room was very quiet.

However the single room was very hot and noisy. There was also an unpleasant smell from the bathroom.

But the card functioned perfectly everywhere else in Milan. It looked to me as if the "malfunction" was a ruse and that the hotel simply wanted me to pay cash (as I did in the end). I wouldn't have objected to this if I had been told in advance that cash was required. The hotel's duplicity was galling, though.
