The room itself looked liked a paneled box at the Opera with a view of the courtyard. I think the breakfast prices are a bit excessive but that's only because being right on the square you can go out and enjoy the morning atmosphere and get the same or similar breakfast for a 1/4 of the price. However, that is to be expected when a fine hotel like L'Opera. The Staff were very friendly and unobtrusive. The bellman were most curtious and true professionals. I would stay at the Hotel again and recommend it to other couples. This is not a resort hotel or for families - but for short breaks or business it is excellent.

A lot of noise from creaking wooden floors. Good value at this price, but not at rack rate. Good, large room. Room lighting was poor, bathroom had no shower curtain.

IF THIS WAS A "SUPERIOR" ROOM I WOULD NOT BE KEEN TO SEE THE ROOMS IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE SUPERIOR TO. VERY SMALL, DECOR GHASTLY AND BED BROKEN OR DAMAGED IN MIDDLE. WOULD BE BETTER TO DEFINE WHAT A "QUEEN" ACTUALLY IS. I UNDERSTAND IT TO BE QUITE A WIDE BED. HOWEVER THIS ONE WASN'T VERY WIDE AT ALL. OVERALL IMPRESSION OF ROOM - HUGELY DISAPPOINTING WITHOUT ANY ONE THING ON ITS OWN BEING QUITE BAD ENOUGH TO WARRANT ASKING FOR A ROOM CHANGE.
