| The 200 rooms and suites each have their own unique ambience. More than 25% have a private balcony with settees and tropical plants. Many overlook historic sites, others have a view of famed shopping streets or the garden courtyard.
All rooms are spacious with high Victorian ceilings, large marble bathrooms, individual heat and air conditioning, window shutters, minibars, twice daily maid service, satellite television and pay per view movies. The rooms are decorated with period furniture, historic lithographs, and oriental rugs. The beds are crisply dressed with Italian linens. NON-SMOKING rooms are available.
Plaza Suites
All Plaza Executive Suites (see rates) feature their own separate bedroom and living room. These suites all have a private balcony that offers a view of some of Rome's most historic sights such as the Spanish Steps, the Emperor Augustus Caesar Piazza or the sunset over the dome of the Vatican.
Every suite has its own style. Sofas, armchairs, marble coffee tables, oriental rugs, writing desk and chair, custom wall coverings all provide a warm and relaxing ambience. The bedroom has a king size bed or two twin beds, sitting area, chest of drawers and plenty of closet space with full size mirrors.
Our Presidential Suite (see rates) boasts a gala size dining room and an optional second bedroom with its own bathroom. It is on the top floor and offers a stunning view of the Spanish steps and the ancient Trinita dei Monti church which towers above them.
The Family Room Suites (see rates) consist of two connected bedrooms each with their own spacious sitting area and one common bathroom.
Junior Suites
Our Junior Suites (see rates) are truly grand. Huge in size, majestic in design, they offer all of the amenities of the Executive Suites. Each provides its own delightful surprise. Some have romantic canopied beds and double bathrooms with a separate shower room.
Our Blue Room junior suite is one of the hotel's most popular rooms. This suite is luxuriously appointed with a dramatic blend of Florentine gold and blue tones highlighted by Carrara marble columns and an elaborate gilded ceiling
Executive Double Rooms
Our Executive Double rooms (see rates) consist of an extra large guestroom with a spacious sitting area, foyer and marble bathroom. The main part of the room features a king size or two twin beds with freshly pressed linens. The room retains the same style as the suites. The furniture is classic with agate-topped bedside tables, oriental rugs, and writing desk. The floors are intricately patterned hardwood. An antique chandelier adds elegance. A separate enclave provides a cozy arrangement of two oversized armchairs, sofa and a marble top coffee table. The bathroom has a bathtub with shower and a bidet. The ample foyer contains a double closet with a full size mirror. Some of the rooms have their own private balcony. All have a view of either the historic shopping streets of Rome or the inner courtyard garden of the hotel.
Deluxe Double Rooms
The Deluxe Double rooms (see rates), like all other accomodations at the Grand Plaza offers more space than typical hotel rooms. The bed is king size or two twins with period style night tables. There is a loveseat or two large armchairs in a small sitting area, a writing desk and chair in period style, a chest of drawers, which also contains the minibar. The foyer provides extra drawers and closet. The oversized windows open onto one of the main shopping streets of the city or the inner courtyard of the hotel.
Single Rooms
The Single Room (see rates) will surprise guests with its comfortable size. For the person who is traveling alone and requires a smaller room at an economical price, this is sure to please. It provides a double size bed, foyer, marble bathroom, comfortable armchair and small desk. As with all other rooms, it has satellite television with premium channels, and individual air conditioning. |
