No problems checking in late night (midnight) Very helpful stuff - nice beds - slept like a baby. The rooms have seen better times. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for romance trips or business stays but just for hanging around in the city it is perfect. Close to the railway station and Airlink and to several busses towards the city center. It is of good value.

Hotel in a good location 15 min walk to Princess Street and Murrayfield. Staff were courteous but could not get a coffee at the bar on the Saturday evening which is disappointing as one of our party did not drink alcohol.

Staff were not great.

Our group of 11 persons - all female - had a really enjoyable overnight stay in this hotel.
The reception staff were very polite & accommodating - even arranging quiet rooms when asked.
All staff from porters, chambermaids, chefs, waiters/ waitresses to managers were friendly and very helpful, as well as being good at their jobs.
Thank you very much.
Yours sincerely

The hotel has a great location, just 2 blocks from the Haymarket train station.

I did not interact much with the day staff, but the night porter (Stuart?) was great. He even brought up toothbrushes late at night because we had lost ours.

The included breakfast was buffet style with a person cooking eggs to order. There was also lots of fruits and cereals. This was definately worth the price.

The room was rather small, but clean. The beds were kind of hard, but we loved the feather comforters.

For ease of getting around Edinburgh, I would recommend this hotel.

We arrived at the hotel very late.

Room service menu was very limited and the food was not very good. Definately did not get value for the price.

Night Porter was extremly helpful, for example he fixed the TV cable so we could watch the news while eating dinner.

Hotel is located 5 minute walk from Haymarket train station, so is very conveniently located for either visiting Edinburgh attractions or other nearby locations.

Breakfast is self-serve with a person cooking eggs to order. Very good value.

Stored our bags overnight while we journeyed further north visiting friends.
