On arrival I was very disappointed with my hotel room. There was no proper wardrobe, only a steel bar with some hangers to hang clothes with no doors. There was a fridge with a small safe inside the fridge door (strange place for a safe). There was no room in the fridge to put personal bottles of water and the cost of a small bottle of water from the fridge was 4euro, way too expensive. There was a balcony as promised but it was a continuous space forming the balconies of other rooms and only a small hip-high divider between each room, the only furniture on this balcony was two iron chairs and no table, there was absolutely no privacy on these balconies. The furniture in the room was of a light pine colour and although it possibly wasn't cheap it certainly looked it. The room wasn't as good as you would get in a 2star hotel or motel in other places, at the cost of 210euro per night I had been expecting luxury as advertised. The cost of internet access was 4 to 5 times the cost downtown, again far too expensive. On arrival we were not offered any information on the local area or local transport and we were surprised several days into our stay when we asked a question at reception about local transport we were given a sheet of detailed information, it would have been very helpful to receive this on arrival. The localtion of the hotel is excellent, a short healthy walk into town. The swimming pools are wonderful. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were courteous and helpful. Overall I found this hotel very poor value for money at 210euro per night, having just come from the SAS Radisson in Dubai (considered expensive) and having paid Euro160pn for a far superior room with solid furniture and "real" wardrobes!

My wife had a bad fall in the bar area due to the very poor design of the step which had two raised ridges as part of the design. Whilst the staff responded well, the incident would not have happened at all had the step been of a better and safer design.
