creepy hotel Reviewer: Ann Huskinson Date of review: 15 November 2007 Recommends this hotel: NO Recommended for: Business, Couples Room Hotel Facilities 3 Bed 4 Ambience 3 Cleanliness 4 Service 3 Room Size 3 Location 3 Amenities 2 Value for Money 2 The room was freezing, even after turning on the heat twice, there was no headboard and the bed kept sliding away from the wall, the water in the shower was cold and took forever to heat up, the alarm went off even though we didn't set it.. it was kind of creepy, possibly related to the fact that it was across the street from the most haunted place in York (Clifford Tower). Oh, and we didn't get the bathrobes and the fruit was pretty meagre. So, wouldn't recommend it, even if the ghosts had more to do with the cold than the hotel staff.

Our only complaint would be about the water pressure in the shower. You had to stand with your head really near to the wall to get properly wet because of the poor water pressure.
