We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We used the park and ride in to York which was close by. The bus service was regular so we didn't mind being outside of York. We will visit again but would recommend to others that you request an upstairs room if you don't want children jumping on and off the bed and running round the room above you head it did spoil things a little bit but then they were children thats what they do. The carvery next door was a very welcome addition and we enjoyed our evening meals there. Again very friendly staff Cath and Trevor Barnes a couple of oldies

Excellent restaurant adjacent.
