The splendid Hospes Madrid Hotel is located at Plaza de la Independencia, well in the historical centre of the Spanish capital, in a XIX century building of eclectic architecture characteristic of the Restoration period. The building was designed by the architect Jose Maria de Aguilar in 1883 at the request of the Duchess and widow of General Prim.
