I love Ibis chain hotels! The chain hotel is my favorite, with spacious rooms, cute design, users-friendly facilities and of course cleaness...It's great even for a choosy person like me! Ibis hotels never let me down, though the outside sometimes may not look as fashionable as its inside. If you want less money for more, definitely choose ibis! It's a valuable hotel for its prices, and even more rewarding than luxury hotels!

THEY ALL WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO PROVIDE ME WITH THE NECCESSARY INFORMATION I REQUIRED TO ENJOY MY STAY IN THE CITY. THE LOCATION OF THE HOTEL SUITED ME PERFECTLY AS I WAS THERE TO ATTEND A CONCERT AT THE CARDIFF INTERNATIONAL ARENA WHCH WAS DIRECTLY OPPOSITE THE HOTEL. IT WAS ALSO WITHIN EASY WALKING DISTANCE OF LOCAL SHOPPING & LEISURE FACILITIES, WAS ALSO SERVICED BY REGULAR BUS ROUTES & WITHIN 10 MINS STROLL FROM THE CENTRAL RAILWAY STATION, WHICH MADE IT VERY EASY TO TRAVEL & TO TOUR OTHER AREAS. I FOUND THE ACCOMODATION WAS MORE THAN ADEQUATE, VERY CLEAN, SPACIOUS & MORE THAN ACCOMODATING FOR BOTH LEISURE OR BUSINESS PURPOSES, WITH DESK SPACE & COMPUTER ACCESS & ON-SITE DRINK-MAKING FACILITIES. ALTHOUGH I DID NOT DINE AT THE HOTEL, FOOD I SAW OTHERS ENJOY WAS IMPRESSIVE & WITH THE BAR OPEN UNTIL 12.00 ( MIDNIGHT) FOR REFRESHMENT, THIS PROVIDED A CALM, RELAXING ENVIRONMENT TO RELAX & ENJOY THE COMPANY OF OTHERS. I WOULD MOST CERTAINLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO OTHERS & DEFINITELY NOT HESITATE TO BOOK FUTURE RESERVATIONS FOR THIS HOTEL, FOR ANY FUTURE VISITS TO THE CITY. THANK YOU ALL FOR THE MOST PLEASANT & ENJOYABLE STAY !!

The room was clean and comfortable (although there was no hairdryer). The breakfast, although there was plenty of choice, was not as fresh as it could have been. Overall though, very good value for money.

Ibis Cardiff Reviewer: mark harris Date of review: 17 December 2007 Recommends this hotel: NO Recommended for: Business Room Hotel Facilities 2 Bed 1 Ambience 1 Cleanliness 5 Service 1 Room Size 3 Location 2 Amenities 2 Value for Money 1 If your prepared to park your car a quater of a mile away in a pay and display car park all night you'll enjoy it.We booked as it listed car parking but what we didn't realise was thats in the NCP car park not at the hotel premises.When we checked in every one in front of us was having the same argument with reception and when we got to the counter the reply was what do you expect me todo about it and there's no manager on duty so tough.Not really the reply I was expecting.Room was small and beds were terrible with only one pillow each and one thin quilt each.Bathroom smelt discusting although it was clean.If your looking to stay in Cardiff try the Holiday Inn I will be next time for sure.

Firstly my apologies for not replying sooner. Some weeks its nothing but hotels. Good idea to e-mail the questionnaire. I now have time to think and give you my feedback. My arrival was late that evening, but knowing my room was waiting for me helped with the drive to the hotel. On arrival I was greeted pleasantly. The receptionist that evening,(young,pleasant..I think French?)suggested I take my bags to the room, settle, park the car and then come back to register. This was a nice touch. Thank you. Shower fine, room a bit chilly, a touch cramped but most importantly it was clean!! Breakfast the usual fare. Coffee not as good as Belgium!! But plenty to eat, good choices, and fresh!! The manager that morning a gentleman (French,spectacles)also helped by accepting my Euro as payment. He also took the time to explain about the hotel chain discount card. Which I will apply for in due course. In the morning I had a parking ticket waiting for me. Not a great start...but not your fault. Maybe some deal with a secure car-park?? That's it overall what I expect from you. Hence the reason I choose 'Ibis' (now...ha!) Be sure if I stay in Cardiff again I will contact yourselves in the first instance.
