They were keen to help. The food was good and so wqas the atmosphere.

The room we were allocated was on the ground floor. We were impressed by the cleanliness of the room and the fact that the bed linen & towels were changed frequently. The wardrobe was a little cramped but ideal for a short stay. I was surprised that there was no hairdryer but the bath and shower room was clean and sufficient for our needs. Although the location was very close to the main road into Plymouth it was a quiet location. The only problem we had was in the early hours of one night when the fire alarms went off in all the rooms. Apparently someone had smoked too heavily in one of the "smoking allowed rooms"(we found this out when we asked the staff in reception the following day). The problem was we went outside to try and find out if there was a fire we could not find any staff to reassure us that all was ok - rather disconcerting at the time! We did not use the restaurant facilities although they did look suitable. We would stay here again and would recommend them as suitable to most people.

More towels and pillows would have been more acceptable.
