Reviewer: SHANE CORR Date of review: 1 September 2006 Recommends this hotel: YES Room Hotel Facilities 4 Bed 5 Ambience 4 Cleanliness 5 Service 5 Room Size 3 Location 5 Amenities 4 Value for Money 3 THE ROOM RAT WAS EXCELLENT BUT THE DRINK IN THE BAR WAS VERY EXPENSIVE, FOR EXAMPLE, A PINT OF BEER WAS EUR5.75 IN THE BAR BUT THE MOST YOU WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS IN THE TOWN OF PORTO WAS BETWEEN EUR1.00-EUR1.70. AS A RESULT VERY FEW PEOPLE DRANK IN THE BAR AND THERE WAS LITTLE ATMOSPHERE. BREAKFAST EXCELLENT WITH FRESH ORANGE JUICE WHICH IS A PLUS FOR ME. THE ROOM WAS SMALL FOR A 5 STAR HOTEL. MINIBAR VERY EXPENSIVE.

If you are working late in the evening it would help to have more light around the desk area
