Overview
Hotel Jules Cesar Arles is formerly known as Carmelite Convent and today has been transformed into a small luxury hotel. The hotel is situated in Arles city centre, where Unesco classified monuments are on a major boulevard, near the highway and general bus station and only 5 minutes by car to the train station. The hotel is historic hotel full of character, which without neglecting the historical value but boasts all the details of a completely modernized hotel. This seventeenth century hotel is now a stately country hotel with the best restaurant in town.
Although it is a noisy neighborhood, most of Hotel Jules Cesar Arles guestrooms face the unspoiled cloister. Guest will wake to the scent of roses and the sounds of birds singing. Throughout guests will find a blend of antique neoclassical architecture and modern amenities. The decor is luxurious with antique Provencal furnishings found at auctions throughout the countryside. The interior rooms are the most tranquil and also the darkest, though enlivened by bright fabrics. Nice old fashioned french hotel. Better downstairs than up especially as air con in the rooms was poor and the bathroom was ok but no more. Nice experience though.
