The hotel is well located for bus transport into Venice and to the airport. It has a very good breakfast service but the most appreciated feature for us as first time visitors was the fantastic help provided by all staff especially those on reception. Their help with directions and points of interest and on what to avoid in unnecessary excursion expenses proved invaluable.

Stayed at Hotel Kappa during our visit to Venice. Distance to the island was a little far but city bus system got us there in about 20-30 minutes. Hotel was clean and staff was very friendly and helpful in assisting us in how to get around the city and what sites were good to visit.

We would recommend the Hotel Kappa to anyone that is planning on visiting Venice.With a bus stopping across the road that gets you to Venice in about 20 minutes it is so handy. The main square of Mestre is a very pleasant
15 minutes walk with lovely cafes.The staff at the front desk were very helpful and spoke very good English.Apart from the bed being quite hard and the shower being a bit smaller than we are used to we were very happy with our choice and would stay there again if we revisit that part of Italy.

The hotel is well appointed and clean - with friendly staff. Our room was a good size and the breakfast was adequate with not a wide range of items.
The location is not great for visiting Venice - according to the hotel it's a 15 minute bus ride. Although the bus stop is across the street it takes minimum 25 minutes and don't expect a seat ! Coming back late in the evening from the Piazza Roma is a bit of a scramble as there is only a bus every 30 minutes (not the 15 minutes described by the hotel).
The hotel is also on a busy road so noisy if you prefer to have the window open and also directly across the street from a church which rings its bells daily at 7am !
But overall good value for money.....

We arrived here late in the evening and were greeted by a friendly english speaking receptionist. Our room was on the first floor, late clean with bathroom. The area is quiet and it was the 4 nights sleep we had had in ages! Breakfast was continental, with plenty of variety - the filled crossants and pastries were all freshly made and the variety of coffee and teas were plentiful. We found all of the staff really helpful. We took a train to Lido de jeselo on the third day and although a rather lengthy experience it was a lovely day out. The fish restaurant was expensive - although underneath the hotel it is not owned by them - but we were given a choice of two italian restaurants a couple of minutes down the road which were both very good. I dont remember the name of our favourite one which served an excellent seafood paella, but you turn right when you get outside the hotel! 'We have a fantastic time in Venice and Mestre and the transfer bus from the hotel to the centre of venice was 1 euro and took approx 15 mins. This Hotel is well worth its money and is highly recommended.

Nice and courteous staff, but must say that the shower cubicles are extremely small and will be difficult for an average person to step in, even for a shower!

The breakfast is plentiful and delicious. Our room was pleasant but rather dark (with only one window) and sometimes noisy and smelly as an extractor fan was located next to the window which worked during 2 nights of our stay and blew the smell of burnt food into the room:(
