Service at breakfast and at the topfloor outside restuarant was excellent especially by the top man who always wanted to do things correctly and second best was not good enough. Other staff were extremely helpful. Our only concern was about one young lady on reception who spoke to several Americans in an off hand manner. We do not beleive that she was intentionally rude it was just that she used the wrong terminology for the situation and thus gave the impression that she did not care. However if we could speak Italian half as well as she spoke English we would be very content. Room was furnished in antique style which was acceptable to us. People who prefer the modern style would not like it.

Florence is a very walkable city, The room was narrow and not huge. For the solo traveler, it was fine. For a romantic trip to Clorence, some would have found it lacking

Reception staff very helpful with perfect english. Located in a very quiet street about a ten minute walk from the centre of things. Close to the river but unfortunately no view. Thought price was expensive for off season but then, everything in Florence is expensive. Our Junior Suite was not much bigger than what we expected a normal room to be but did have a balcony with street view. Modern features like Wi-Fi and Pay per view movies available in each room.

The rooms were old fashioned could do with some updating. I could hear everything from the room next door was like we were in the same room. Not very good.
