Excellent service from warm friendly and motivated staff Too hot at night due to ineffective AC and inability to open windows

Looked clean on the surface but not in depth (inside of the fridge cupboard was very dusty and quite telling).

Your hotel staff were excellent however the bar staff left a lot to be desired and i was horrified when on sunday they advised us that they had run out of all our chosen beverages (beer) and made no attempt to rectify the situation. Also the temperature in the bar was arctic and despite several complaints the bar lady made to attempt to rectify this - we were so cold we left and went elsewhere.

My daughter (student at Leeds university) joined me for breakfast, which though good I thought expensive at GBP14.00. I did think the tiled walls around the bath hadn't been cleaned for some time! I initially got charged for a lot of water I didn't drink.

The hotel was ok overall. Some of the staff were very helpful and others not so helpful. Because of my experience with the room I dont think I would stay again. I ordered a twin and only discovered that I had a double when I opened the door of the room. The bed was small for two and I wouldnt have stayed if I was aware that a twin was not available. I was told on complaining that booking a twin room is only a request and that nothing could be done about this. I was not very happy at all and have written a letter of complaint that has been acknowledged but no response as yet. So overall a disappointing stay at the Marriott.
