However, that one night was far better than the remaining nights I spent at a luxury hotel on the lake that charged double the fare. I found the room, bath and bed most comfortable and was able to sleep for 6 hours upon arrival and wake totally refreshed and ready to explore Geneva. What a great location in the Old City to use as a base! You can walk to many wonderful restaurants within a few minutes, from haute cuisine to simple, delicious fare. The Hotel's restaurant itself is a fine one that should not be missed; it has a lovely outdoor patio. In general, Geneva is an expensive city for Americans, so US travelers should be prepared for the difference in rates from domestic travel. That said, I found the staff of this hotel to be most gracious and helpful compared to the stuffy service I found at the other hotel. There were many thoughtful designer touches and the rooms are up to date with large flat screen televisions. Breakfast is included in the room rate, which is not the case everywhere in Geneva. I plan to return to Hotel Les Armures on future visits.

Not easy to find. Rooms, service cleanliness all excellent. A good restaurant approached from outside the building is less expensive than expected. An expensive night rate but worth it if that is what you want.

No facility to make hot drinks when we wanted them, we had to order room service.

I would definitely stay here again. The room had all the extras I look for in a hotel of this kind.

Very good room service. The lighting in the room was a bit dim, especially as I had to do some work in the room.

I would (and have) recommend this hotel to others. Fantastic. We were upgraded to a junior suite and appreciated the attention to quality and detail of the room.
