Comment on Hotel :
- This was a great little hotel (with a small hotel feel) which was clean, comfortable and convenient.
- There is a phone at the front desk which you have to ring in order to get someone to attend to you. The young lady who attended the desk did not seem to know much about the area and wasn't able to provide us with basic tourist information. This was somewhat strange for a place as popular as Interlaken. Otherwise, she was friendly and courteous.
- Watch out for the change required for the laundry - we arrived late night and were unable to do the laundry. You have to get the laundry powder from the front desk. If you look around, there are other hotels close by with 24 hr laundry facilities.
- The room we had (attic room) was fantastic - for the first time in Switzerland we actually had a double bed, instead of two single beds being stuck together. The room and the view made it great for a romantic stay.
- Convenient access to the main street - although you have to walk to the Interlaken Ost train station (about half an hour walk) where most of the trains stop. It is not far from Interlaken West train station.
- The lift in the hotel is small - you'll have to make quite a few trips if you have some luggage. If you are on the top floor, you'll also have to get off the lift at the floor below and walk up the flight of stairs (also hard with a lot of luggage).
- Overall, definitely a place we would stay again and recommend to our friends.
