The hotel itself was clean and inviting, but the immediate vicinity was depressing to say the least. It was, however, very convenient to the train station. I'd just have liked some warning about the location. Also, you have to carry your bags up a long flight of stairs. I was glad we were traveling light.

The european style breakfast was excellent and caters for all tastes. Booking in and out was quick and efficient. The hotel is okay for a night stop but for two to three days business stop over I would be looking at Best Western or similar for the extra facilities. The hotel room in its self was good. Reasonable size, nice beds and good shower/bathroom facilities. The only problem for me was that my flight arrived at 21:30 at Hamburg airport and by the time I reached the hotel it was 22:30. It would have been nice to be able to have a cup of tea or coffee to unwind from the journey but there are no tea/ coffee making facilities available either in the room or the hotel. It is just a bed and breakfast hotel. The good news is that 10 to 15 mins walk and you arrive at the main train station area where there are late night cafes/bars etc if you want to go out at that time of night to find something to eat or drink.
