Overview
Malmaison Edinburgh Hotel, the first ever Malmaison, celebrates its 10th birthday this September. It is a majestic 100-room site that stands tall with its striking castle-like facade overlooking the recently rejuvenated bohemian harbour of the Port of Leith, a 15 minute walk from Edinburgh city centre. Built in 1883 as a seaman's mission on the bustling shore of Leith, this beautiful yet imposing building has several turrets and a clock tower. The mission was a focal point for the people of Leith and became iconic to the tired sailors arriving on shore. Each of our one hundred rooms is uniquely designed - some with bold colours and stripes and some with more muted, subtle tones. So whatever your taste, we'll have a stylish hotel room to suit you. For a rush of decadence, visit room 121. A four-poster bed, draped in regal coloured fabrics, stands in the middle of this beautiful room, with its marvellous high ceiling. You'll also enjoy magnificent views of the cobbled courtyard to the River Leith. All our rooms have the complete set of Mal ingredients - great beds, moody lighting, power showers, CD players, CD libraries, satellite TV, serious wines and naughty nibbles. Other little luxuries include fast and free internet access, same-day laundry, toiletries that you're encouraged to take with you and 'vroom' room service for breakfast, dinner or those midnight munchies! Malmaison Edinburgh Hotel is now a non-smoking hotel. |
