We would definately stay again in the future.

Location was within 1/2 hour walking distance of old town. The hotel is in a very cute Georgian building. No facilities other than the breakfast room. The room was lovely. High ceilings. Gorgeous blue. Good size. Comfy bed.

Breakfast was very good. The room was nicely decorated and furnished.

The overall appearance of the guesthouse was a little drab, maybe needed a little sprucing up - and the breakfast provided was sufficient albeit a little bland. However, in terms of value for money and location, it was hard to fault Mardale Guest house - and the hosts were more than happy to recommend places to eat and how to get to city centre, etc. The room itself was more than adequate, the bed being comfortable, TV & tea/coffee making facilities provided, and bathroom clean with good shower.
