I was very happy with the position of the hotel in Nice and my initial impressions of the common areas and reception. If my room was typical, a general upgrading of decor and fittings wouldn't go amiss as my impression was that everything was a bit jaded and aged. Having said that, everything was clean and my room perfectly fitted in with my reasons for being there - to watch my sons doing the Ironman Triathlon - so in general I was happy with a base to stay in at night. Room cleaning was good and all the staff were very helpful. Security was good with someone in the reception/front door area at all times.
Not for the holiday goer with class

My idea of a break when going away just for a long weekend is that the room you stay in should be nicer than your one at home. While I knew it was a 2/3 star hotel, the photo's didn't depict our room at all. The TV was attached the wall, hospital style, the shower walls had mould and the shower head didn't work properly. The bathroom had brown tiles and nothing matched. It just felt dirty and I was glad I had taken a pair of flip flogs for the bathroom. It just felt like they didn't care about their hotel at all. Great location however. It would suit those on a small budget, or backpackers. There's nothing to do at the hotel and the TV only has about 5 french channels - thats when the TV works of course (had a habit of dying whenever one of us closed the door to our room!) You can only use their internet in the foyer?
A short end of season break
Staff very courteous and helpful. We are in our seventies and were given a third floor room, after two days and nights we found the stairs exhausting and they changed our room to a first floor one . Hotel close to beaches and local shops and cafes etc.
good value for money
location is excellent and staff was nice 3 min walk to the beach telephone in the room
Handy and Nice
Just a couple of blocks from the beach and Promenade des Anglais, and across the street from a Museum, the hotel is very nicely situated. The staff are very friendly, accommodating, speaking English as well as French. They served a very nice standard breakfast of fresh croissants, bread, juice, beverage. The only thing to detract from the hotel is the need for a bit of maintenance, for example, the door to the bathroom didn't quite close all the way. They are in the process of refurbishing the hotel so those little things may be corrected. Even with the minor distraction, we would stay there again. It is a very nice atmosphere with great value for a stay in Nice. Spend your savings on other things!
good if you just want a bed to sleep in and central if you are going to be going to old town the beach and the train station which take you to cannes and monaco.
Good value; pleasant, helpful staff.
Not sure but I think it may be a family-run hotel. The staff was very helpful, friendly and welcoming. It was very conveniently located, just a block or two from the sea. We had two rooms: one for parents and one for teen children. Our room (parents) was very cheerful with brightly-coloured decor (and a wonderfully eccentric chandelier). The room was clean and comfortable. The shower-only bathroom had a strangely narrow opening so could be a challenge for anyone who's significantly (or even not-so-significantly) over weight. The children's room had two "older" single beds and the bathroom had some mold around the caulking. However, given the good level of cleanliness, the mold may have been hard to remove - or, perhaps, just stain remnants from mold - I can't imagine that it would be there were it an easy fix. The children had breakfast (can't recall cost) and were a bit disappointed by its lack of choice. We would most definitely stay there again and recommend it highly for anyone who's travelling on a budget.
This place stunk!
Situated close to the centre of the city, with parking close by, this was a most convenient hotel. The receptionist was very helpful. Overall a good choice for the centre of Nice The room was small but tidy, with an en-suite. 2 beds, and air conditioning, which was most welcome.
