THE MINUTE I ARRIVED THE STAFF WERE VERY OBLIGING AND POLITE AND ALL SPOKE PERFECT ENGLISH. THE SINGLE ROOM WAS SUFFICE BUT SPOTLESS. BOOK A ROOM TO THE REAR AS MY FRIEND HAD A CLARINET PLAYER AT THE FRONT EARLY MORNING NOT A GOOD MIX AFTER A NIGHT ON THE BEER .GREAT LOCATION FOR TRAMS ( FRONT DOOR )AND TRAIN STATION ACROSS THE ROAD. 5MIN WALK TO TOWN CENTRE . A GREAT CITY WILL BE BACK AND WILL STAY AT THE COLUMBUS. BRIAN MONTROSE SCOTLAND

Also good for tram-spotting for my 8 year old son. We arrived at 11pm having flown from Spain and it was 10 mins. by taxi to the hotel ( 10 Euros ). We could have taken a tram instead. Nice and quiet, vast room. Disappointed there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but this is fairly typical for Germany. Disappointed to have to move table at Breakfast due to smokers, but this will change soon with new smoking laws coming in soon in Germany. Helpful English-speaking staff. Great buffet breakfast - only had to pay for me - 15 Euros. Hope to stay there again en route to Spain in October.
