Reviewer: Brian Denny Date of review: 23 October 2007 Recommends this hotel: Neutral Recommended for: Business Room Hotel Facilities 1 Bed 3 Ambience 1 Cleanliness 4 Service 3 Room Size 3 Location 1 Amenities 3 Value for Money 3 Admittedly we were only staying for one night at a time on our outward and return journeys to and from the Loire ... but I have to say I was very disappointed, not only in the lack of ambience,exemplified by the absence of a comfortable bar area, but also the awful location .... and I think it was pretty obvious that the two were connected. I have no complaints about the staff who were all polite and friendly , and in fact did the best they could, in an establishment where there was a complete absence of atmosphere . While the rooms were very clean and well supplied, there was a dreadful stale mustiness in the corridors, and I think it was quite obviously due to the old and stained carpeting. But to us, by far the worst thing was the barren location. There was simply NOTHING there...... except some more of the Accord Hotels .... each one behind its own metal fencing !! Our only option was to take a taxi down into Bordeaux which cost us 25 euros each way !! Not a satisfying experience it has to be said .... that is if it's part of one's holiday .... maybe for travelling businessmen .
