BECAUSE OF THE CONVENIENCE I DECIDED TO USE THE SAME HOTEL AS AN YEAR BEFORE.

Planes were close enough overhead on their landing that I think you could count the rivets on the bottom of them. The room was very stark, tired looking. Mine had a sewage type smell coming from the bathroom. The lamp didn't work and all that was for lighting was two sets of pot lights in the ceiling. Either bright or dark. The internet promoted to be wireless in all the hotel but that was not the case. My room could not get a strong enough signal. When I brought this to the attention of the desk, the response was I could use the business area computer. It consisted of one computer in a smoke filled area and had a firewall that kept me away from access to sites I needed for business contacts. I did try to use my laptop in the lobby but it too was very smoke filled and I wanted to use my own computer in my room because of the time difference I was working with back in North America. All I can say is very disappointed.

It has everything you need at your ease. It's close to the Tegel airport, which is the main Berlin airport, 1 minute walk apart from the metro bus stop, has a 24-hour gas / market way close, 3 minute walk. The two things I found that are very important to me is the fact that they don't offer complimentary shuttle to / from the airport, you must pay a taxi to get there, they will call it for you, but still, I think, given their name, that they should think about offering that kind of service. It offers spacious rooms, bathroom. Don't have A/C the one I had, but didn't need it, just open the window a bit and everything will get cold fast, at least on October. It's not that close to the Berlin city center, but that's not a problem, because you have the bus station almost in front of the hotel, which can take you to, either the metro rail or the city center, you choose your stop. Overall, this hotel offers you the best at a great value for your money.

The only downside is the planes come very low over the hotel so it can get a bit noisy.

When I entered the staircase, I could not leave it. All doors were closed from from outside.

Did not get to stay there at all. Had to spend the night at Tegel airport.
