Reviewer: james allan Date of review: 15 June 2005 Recommends this hotel: YES Room Hotel Facilities 4 Bed 4 Ambience 3 Cleanliness 4 Service 4 Room Size 3 Location 3 Amenities 3 Value for Money 3 The hotel had an excellent restaraunt and pub attached and breakfast was very good I travel quite a lot in the UK and am in hotels 4 nights per week 48 weeks of the year and am currently in Sweden since October.The mermaid is a typical city hotel ,the room was very small but clean and tidy .

I can't comment on service, as we only had breakfast at the hotel which was 'buffet style' and no service was necessary. We upgraded on our arrival to so called club twin room overlooking the courtyard.
