Especially if you like something other than vanilla, generic hotel-land where every room is a magnolia copy of every other room in every other hotel. This retains some victorian charm and querkiness, without allowing it to be swallowed by an old 'feel'. The service, food and room quality is all good, so you don't really compromise there; but the memorable elements are the layout, the lobby, the decor and the epoque and architecture of the building, which is interesting enough to make it different.
