 Hotel Monopol Wrocław was built in 1892 in the Art Nouveau architectural style that was about to sweep over Europe. This hotel must for any visitor keen to immerse themselves in history. Hotel Monopol Wrocław is situated in the city centre within walking distance to both the commercial and the historical centre. Not only can the hotel boast a fine architectural pedigree, but it has also put a roof over more than its fair share of influential personages in its time - Marlene Dietrich, Pablo Picasso and Hitler all stayed here when Wroclaw was the powerful German town of Breslau. Meanwhile the location, just a few mins from the Main Square, is very hard to beat.

Hotel Monopol Wrocław offer 2 restaurants and bars at guests disposal, guests can enjoy fine cuisine and guests favourite drink in gorgeous surroundings during your stay. The hotel restaurant serves traditional Polish and international dishes. Hotel Monopol Wrocław is superbly located in the historical centre of Wroclaw, a short walk from the Main Market and the Wroclaw Opera House. Most of the city's museums, theatres and nightlife can be found on its doorstep. The history of Hotel Monopol Wrocław start at the end of the XIX century, the Jews living in Wroclaw – a banker Wallenberg Pachaly and an architect Karl Grossem, purchased the lot on what used to be a church cemetery, a monastery and a jail. The hotel was built on the corner of Swidnicka and Modrzejewska Streets (old Agnes Sorma Straße). During the transitional period between the XIX and the XX centuries it lived up to the demands of the most luxurious European buildings.

The porch with a balcony above the main entrance was added in 1937. Especially for the occasion of Adolf Hitler's speech given during the parade for Germans of the Sudety Mountain region. Twenty years later, tenor Jan Kiepura sang from that same balcony. The hotel part of the building survived the war without any visible damage. In 1948, right after the turbulence of the war, which affected Wroclaw in a disastrous way, Pablo Picasso, Irene Joliot-Curie and the Noble Prize winner Michail Szolochow stayed here during the World Congress of Intellectuals. It is still a place where the famous personas of the cultural world would stay.

Hotel Monopol Wrocław has been opened for many many years. The hotel offers 69 rooms, including 21 single, 46 double rooms and 2 suites. The conference room could accommodate up to 60 persons. Pets are permitted. After renovation the hotel will regain its former glory.
