We toured Europe for three weeks and this hotel had the best breakfast selection by far. And the location was very convenient. We had a triple room because we were traveling with our 15-year old son. The room was large by European standards. We would definitely stay there again.

The staff was extremely courteous, helpful and friendly. We totally enojyed our stay there. We've been to Venice 4 times previously, and this was one of the best locations and facilities for the value! Highly recommend it!

We loved this hotel for the convenience to St. Marks Square and the Rialto Bridge - everything was in walking distance. Only drawback - its not directly on a canal so you have to get your luggage to the canal. The cost for a water taxi to the airport was $200.00 for a 20 minute boat ride. Other than that, we loved it - would deffinitely stay there again - great full breakfast included. Also, they offer a free boat ride to Murano Island from 9-11 I think everyday or maybe just the weekends - very nice option. Also, considering its a Best Western it had all the character of a true Venetian Hotel - beautiful!

A very nice hotel with excellent & friendly staff. Excellent location near St Mark's and plenty of good restaurants close by. The rooms were large and gracious, and nicely furnished. It was great to have the old shutters on the outside of the windows as well!

Enjoyable trip. The breakfast was great and the staff very were friendly.

The room/shower was a little small but other than that it was a pleasant experience.

This hotel is in the centre of everything. We were able to walk everywhere and occasionally took the tronchetto if distance was too far. Restaurants easy to find and ranged from 3 - 5 *. Being in our 70's it was nice to be able to come back to rest for 1/2 hour or so before the afternoon sightseeing. We were 2 couples and they gave us adjoining rooms - very thoughful. The staff were fabulous with insightful info on where we wanted to go e.g. Mozart Concert and its location. On arrival we found it a little difficult to wheel our suitcases up and down the steps on the bridges but now know we could have gone another way with noooo steps at all! It would be good if the hotel could give their intending guests that info. To help anyone else reading this - if you arrive on the tronchetto and alight at Piazza San Marco and instead of turning right and over the bridge, turn left and take the next right, straight ahead some meters and then right past the info office under a portico - you will see Piazza San Marco ahead. Cross Piazza to far left and around the steps of the Basilica, take the 2nd or 3rd calle off to the left and the hotel is in the next block straight ahead - sign above eye level.

Our 3-day first visit to Venice was enhanced with our nice stay at Hotel Montecarlo Venice! Hotel's location close to St. Mark's Square was a definite plus. The newly decorated rooms were beautiful; breakfast, very nice! We were not completely prepared for the hotel's location and need to pull our own luggage through the crowded "streets" of Venice and St. Mark's Square, but we survived.
