I know it is not a policy practised very much in European Hotels, but in my opinion it is necessary, as we are used to it when we travel to the rest of the world, and it saves us from packing our own kettle/tea bags/ coffee etc. Thankyou.

It was close to stores, cafes, souvenirs shops and subway/bus station. It even had a fruit/grocery store within a five minute walk. The first morning hot buffet had a long line-up. We arrived around 9 a.m. and had to wait around 15 minutes for a table. Subsequent mornings had no line-ups as we got there around 8:45 a.m. There were 2 choices for cold cereal but they also have ham, bacon, sausages, scrambled and hard boiled eggs, assorted bakery/bread, cheeses, fruit and yogurt etc. The juices actually tasted like real fruit juice! We also had dinner at the panoramic view restaurant on the top floor and the service was excellent! The food was superb too!! The triple room had 2 twin beds and a pull-out sofa bed. My 12 year old son commented that the sofa bed was a bit lumpy. The shower's head in the bathroom would fall off as the shower was turned off. The curtains had tears/holes. The room size was spacious though with lots of closet and luggage space in European standard. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to other travelers.

I would stay there again next time.

The hotel crowns a QUIET square, but is steps away from the major & historic Rossio Sq which is the heart of Lisbon. And steps away from the Rossio subway station. In Rossio, everything is available -- food, internet access, transit passes, shopping, entertainment... And "at home" in the nearby spanking clean Hotel Mundial, you have quiet, comfort and a rich spread (excellent variety) for breakfast. The one thing I would've liked is coffee/tea -making ability in my room. RECOMMEND!!

Food was good to excellent, but the 2 mainwaiters are the last shit. Claiming the special menu @ EUR24 they made a face, unacceptable as customer. Never again in this restaurant!

The personal at the reception was often very inaccurate and almost reluctant in giving touristic information.
