The staff was very friendly and helpful. A hairdrier was not working properly and the bed was a bit small for us (we both are tall people), otherwiae the room was confortable and clean with a good view of the city.

Location is just around the corner from Plaza Rossio and Figueira, take 3 minutes walk from airport bus stop. The services and staffs are excellent, delicious and various buffet breakfast are so satisfactory for us. If we have time to go Lisbon again, we will stay here. The room is tidy and clean, interior is well-organized. We accomodated two different rooms, both are quite good. Especially I recommend room at the corner, it's little bit larger than normal rooms and have two windows. The watersupply of bathroom is also quite good.

Reviewer: George Turner Date of review: 1 August 2005 Recommends this hotel: YES Room Hotel Facilities 4 Bed 5 Ambience 4 Cleanliness 5 Service 5 Room Size 4 Location 5 Amenities 5 Value for Money 5 The hotel is situated on a slightly run down street, but is only 50 yards from two of the main squares in Lisbon - Figuera (where a lot of the bus and tram terminals are located) and Rossio (where there is a Metro station) There are many restaurants well within walking distance. One of the major pedestrian shopping streets is about five minutes walk away. The hotel itself is excellent. The buffet breakfast was kept well stocked with food - hot -scrambled eggs, bacon; cold -croissants, mini rolls, 4 different kinds of bread, 4 different kinds of cereal, juices, cold ham and cheese, variety of fresh and canned fruit, yoghurt, cookies etc. The staff were good at helping us find the way to places like Sintra outside of Lisbon, and most of them spoke very good English. An internet cafe is situated in Rossio square - cost about 2 euros per hour ($3) We found the room very bright -housekeeping services excellent. We had read crits saying rooms weren't very large but we found our room more than adequate. TV programmes in English were covered by CNN, BBC World news, Sky news and sports. Bathroom was well kept - lots of hot water.
