The present gothic styled building was built in 1399 but what made the church so famous is the sculpture of the enthroned Madonna by Erasmus Grasser and painted by renowned artist Jan Polack in 1480.

A bit inside the village, you'll find the grand castle Kommende Ramersdorf, built as official resident for army commander in 1230s. Owned partially by a private accommodation operator and local land office, the castle displays furniture and artefacts from 11th century and also from all over the world. Here, you're able to experience and see for yourself how Bavarian has lived of 12th century, along with their beautiful arches, gates and columns within this castle compound. Since the place is quite far from nearest public transportation, makes sure you've arranged for transportation to go back or at least to the main roads.
