The Hotel is ideally placed within a few meters of 2 tube stations along one of the main shopping streets. We suggest you take the tube to the top and walk down. Very spacious rooms with 2 televisions one in each side. One very odd service or lack of it is that the hotel provided tea and coffee in the room which was obviously meant for a couple but only give you one tea bag and one coffee pouch per day ! and no milk. Are you supposed to share one bag? If you both like tea or both like coffee, tough! Reception were kind enough to find another bag but their tea selection had already been raided. (by brits) Large double bed or king, not sure with 2x single quilt covers? Underground easy and cheap if you buy a 24hr pass. Just like Paris you pick the line and the direction is determined by the station at the end of it Trams excellent jump on the ring strasse and it just goes round in a circle. Go to Mozart cafe for a coffee and cake even late at night. Taxis easy and relatively cheap. Royal apartments worth a see. Opera fantastic Statesoper real top quality. Bookable from UK no problem. This trip whet our appetite for Vienna and looking to go back later in the year. Hotel good, Vienna excellent, Austrians delightful.

Given the size of the room, the layout was a little strange. For example, the beds,were crammed right next to the bathroom. Odors tended to persist in the bathroom. Overall though a very spacious and nice room, especially for the price.

But when making the booking at Holiday city, I was not informed that the check-in time was 3PM only. I entered a check-in time of 7AM and assumed that it would be available by that time. Would be good if the kitchen (equipped with microwave) also had one or two vessels (microwave-suitable), spoons, knives, etc.
