Favourably situated opposite from the Central Station in the city centre of Amsterdam, this luxury NH Barbizon Palace combines 5-star comfort with stunning architecture, culinary excellence and a prime location. Uniquely composed of nineteen 17th century houses and a 15th century chapel as Conference center, the hotel inspires admiration. The bright and spacious rooms have been tastefully decorated.
Fine dining can be enjoyed in the elegant restaurant Vermeer, graced with several international awards and Hudson's Terrace & Restaurant. All of Amsterdam's main attractions can be easily reached by foot or public transport. The oldest quarter in town is directly behind the NH Barbizon Palace, combining the Red Light District and Chinatown. Dam Square is a mere 5 minute walk away and the RAI Congress Centre can be reached by tram within 25 minutes.
Restaurant Vermeer has been graced with several international Michelin awards and Gault Millau. The restaurant is situated in four adjoining monumental buildings and has a luxurious cocktail lounge decorated in pure 15th century style. Restaurant Vermeer offers Mediterranean cuisine that can be enjoyed in a Golden Age atmosphere. The restaurant can serve up to 55 persons.
Hudson's Terrace & Restaurant is located on the ground floor and easily accessible. The open and light lobby gives a glamorous touch to the modern restaurant. The guest can give the day a fresh start with an extensive breakfast buffet, including a large variety of items; ranging from fresh fruit and yoghurt to mouth watering waffles with hot cherries accompanied by a glass champagne. In the afternoon and evening the restaurant becomes the perfect setting to enjoy an a la carte lunch/ dinner, a light snack or Spanish tapa. The cuisine offers a pleasant overview of the typical regional specialties as well as international cuisine. On top of all this, the restaurant is seen as a meeting point and is open the whole day for guests who care for a small bite accompanied by their favourite drink or an exclusive high tea.
Hudson's Terrace & Restaurant offers guest the possibility to enjoy a deliciously varied breakfast, lunch or dinner in an informal, but sophisticated setting. In addition, the guest are very welcome to enjoy a light snack, some refreshment or perhaps just drink a cup of tea or coffee. The maximum capacity of the restaurant is 120 guests.
The Conference Centre is an integral part of the NH Barbizon Palace. An underground passage connects the two locations. The Business Centre is available for your guests, and is equipped with PC, fax, photocopier, Internet and 10 external telephone lines. The Concierge Team and the Guest Relations Manager will be happy to help the guest with airline ticket reservations, car rentals and information about the city in order to ensure that the stay is as efficient and pleasant as possible. Due to the 24-hour security, the guests will always feel safe.
