Resting upon the banks of the river Amstel this 17th century hotel with canal view and a private boat landing, all in the heart of Amsterdam's historical city centre. NH Doelen Amsterdam is the oldest hotel of Amsterdam and had and still have a variety of famous and artisitic guests including Queen Victoria, The Beatles and the Empress Sissi who has a room named after her. Rembrandt painted the world famous 'Night Watch' on the third floor of the hotel. There are canal view rooms and the guest can enjoy breakfast whilst overlooking the Amstel River.

NH Doelen Amsterdam is well situated for those wishing to explore Amsterdam's city centre. Located between Rembrandt Square and Dam Square. The flower market is just a short walk from the hotel also as a variety of theatres and museums, including Rembrandt House, Rijksmuseum and the Jewish Historical museums, as well as many restaurants, cafes and the Red Light District. The hotel is also close to public transport links and a shuttle service to the airport runs throughout the day.

How to get to the hotel:

By car

From Utrecht

On the A2, follow the signs towards Centrum. After the bridge, at the traffic lights turn right. Keep right and at the next set of traffic lights turn left into Weesperstraat. Continue straight on, keep right at the roundabout into Mr. Visserplein, where the guest have to turn left. The Muziektheater parking is on the right hand side.

From A1 (Amersfoort to Amsterdam)

A10, exit S112. End of the exit, turn right. At Prins Bernhardplein (roundabout) keep right, on to Wibautstraat. Go straight ahead, street will become Weesperstraat. Straight on and keep to the right. Mr. Visserplein (roundabout) to the left (3/4). Parking facilities of Muziektheater at the right hand side.

From A4 (The Hague & Schiphol Airport to Amsterdaam) or A10

Take exit S109 (RAI). End of the exit, turn right. Next 3 traffic lights straight ahead. At the roundabout of the RAI (4th traffic light) turn right on to the President Kennedylaan. Follow the road, street will become Amsteldijk. At the end at the T-crossing turn right over the Amstel. Keep to the right, at the traffic-lights turn left on to the Weesperstraat. Straight on, keep to the right. Mr. Visserplein (roundabout) to the left (3/4) Parking facilities of Muziektheater at the right hand side

By train

From Amsterdam Central Station the guest can catch the tram, which takes approximately 10 minutes which takes to right in front of the hotel.

From the airport

From Schiphol Airport, which is 20km from the hotel, there is a transport shuttle service which takes the guest directly to the hotel. The buses leave every hour between 7.00 am and 9.00pm. Consult the availability with the hotel.
