The name implies that it is of a high standard. It is not. There is a peculiar odour, damp patches and the double room is quite small compared to others that I have occupied. The bed was unsuitable for a person with disabilities. At breakfast, when we requested marmalade, we were informed that the quota for that morning had been exhausted!! The staff were charming, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. A huge positive. I suggest that the entrance be made more welcoming - perhaps a statue or artifact in the lobby reflecting the titl of the hotel- "castle". The building next door needs to be cleared of the clutter of billboards, painted which would compliment the main part pf the hotel. Regards Cynthia Ramsay

It was very clean and had everything we wanted even a jacuzzi bath!

Matress and bed very uncomfortable and cold in room. Thin bedding only. Slept in coat.

The room was shabby, the towel rail kept falling off the bathroom wall and two tiles fell off whilst my partner was showering!
