The staff were friendly. The rooms were very clean if a bit drab mainly due to the decor. The food was good and plentiful at breakfast. The dinner menu was basic but good value for money.

Did not find the hotel staff friendly or helpful at all. Don;t know if it was because they thought I was English or because I was gay and there with my partner. As we found out later through some of the guides that it is not a very gay friendly city.

LOTS OF GOOD RESTAURANTS NEARBY. WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF TRAIN STATION. HOTEL STAFF FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL - CAN SPEAK ENGLISH. THEY HAVE A RESIDENT DRIVER TO HIRE FOR TRIPS WHO WAS VERY NICE AND HELPFUL. HOTEL BREAKFAST WAS PLAIN BUT GOOD AND PLENTIFUL. HOTEL SUITE WHICH IS WORTH PAYING THE LITTLE EXTRA FOR, OVERLOOKS THE THEATRE AND HAD A LARGE MODERN ENSUITE. BEDROOM AND LIVING AREA OF ROOM WAS A LITTLE OLD FASHIONED ROOM BUT QUAINT AND SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL FOR THE PRICE YOU PAY AND THE LOCATION.
