Krakow August 2007
We have just spent two nights at hotel pollera, if you are looking
for a trendy luxury place dont book this, but we thought it was great. . . . . The staff are friendly and helpful, especially if you make a little effort, it does'nt take much to
... learn to thank people in polish, but it certainly makes a difference to them, we noticed how few tourists bothered!
the room (218) we had, overlooks the theatre and beautiful gardens, it is right by 'the planty' an excellent inner ring tree lined path, that provides good walking access to the city centre. So the position is superb, effective glazing makes room peaceful. There is no mini bar/ fridge, but room service is cheap. . . So this is'nt an issue. The floor does creak, but it is elderly, parquet type. If you like traditional furniture, comfort and a little faded grandeur (there is a wonderful stained glass window on the grand staircase!), this is the place.
