It was within walking distance of the tourism office, the Grand Theatre, the bus and train depot and the many restaurants just waiting for a gourmand to enter. Bordeaux is wonderful and the hotel contributed to the experience!

St Catherines Hotel Bordeaux -Recommended Reviewer: Denis O'Sullivan Date of review: 16 September 2008 Recommends this hotel: YES Recommended for: Couples Room Hotel Facilities 3 Bed 5 Ambience 3 Cleanliness 5 Service 4 Room Size 3 Location 5 Amenities 3 Value for Money 4 Excellent location in the heart of Bordeaux close to La Bourse Parking -the Grand Theatre shops and restaurants river and new tramway Bedrooms were adequate, clean but not luxurious THe staff were helpful courteous and available when needed -although our room was not remade up one day until late afternoon. We did not have breakfast nor a drink at the bar on the ground floor entrance area which was quite large but seemed a bit sad and unused looking. Ok as a waiting area but not to sit and stay -a pity really as this area could easly be made quite attractive and add to the ambience of this hotel.

Staff were boyh pleasant and helpful.

The room was adequate for our needs.

I would have chosen differently for this trip had I known as I needed a car. No tea or coffee facilities in room
