In the baroque heart of Dresden lies the jewel of a five star hotel, the Radisson SAS Gewandhaus Hotel Dresden. Originally built as a warehouse in 1770, the historic Gewandhuas was reduced to rubble due to heavy bombing in 1945. Rebuilt in the 60s as a hotel, this remarkable building became a five star Radisson SAS Gewandhaus Hotel Dresden in 1997. The hotel is beautiful designed and has a spacious glass-domed inner court that forms the centre of the hotel with the restaurant, bar, lobby lounge, an open fireplace and conference rooms around it.All 94 luxurious rooms are tastefully decorated in a Biedermeier style and come with marble bathrooms. Weber's im Gewandhaus is a popular restaurant that offers a creative menu and serves the sumptuous Super Breakfast Buffet. Its flexible meeting rooms can host a small meeting for six or a large event for 160.

Our visit to Dresden was made more special by staying at this hotel. The location is the best and hotel cleanliness, comfort, all excellent! The hotel staff are terrific and accomodating. We give 10 over 10!
The only thing was the weather - it rained...
