Front desk personnel could use some training in hospitality. At times, there was an air of rudeness. Late shift personnel were much more friendly. I have travelled quite extensively and have never before experienced front desk people with so little personality. I am sad to have to be honest about this but it bothered us so much.
Breakfast poor value.
Male staff were friendly and helpful. Female staff most found to be a bit serly at times. Bed was hard sheets not changed everyday.
We asked for a quiet room and were therefore furious to be kept awake from 01.15 to 04.30 am by drunken yobs returning to the hotel and crashing into each other's rooms shouting, swearing and carousing. We made several complaints to Reception and were told that the Night Orderly was dealing with it. He may have shut them up temporarily but after a few minutes the din began again. If you accept guests who drink themselves stupid in Wind St, then they should be allocated rooms as far as possible from your normal guests. As a result of being kept awake we overslept and missed breakfaast. As we left on Monday morning, the yobs were rebooking for the following weekend. Why not bar guests who are known to have caused a disturbance? Our daughter has another 3 years in Swansea but we will not be staying at the Ibis again I'm afraid.
Romm wasn't cleaned after first night
The hotel room anbd staff were fine, although on checking in we had to provide a credit card for booking. This was annoying as when the hotel was booked the credit card details given were my switch as i don't have a credit card. My friend however had one although if i was travelling alone would this have been a problem?
