Real Palacio Hotel Lisbon, set in the heart of Lisbon and opened in May 2003, is a hotel that combines charm and sophistication with the comfort of a five-star hotel. Consisting of two separate but adjacent buildings, this distinguished former 17th century palace has retained its original layout. The interior has undergone renovation and the result is an original example of architechture, which moves pleasingly and naturally between two atmospheres. The hotel's main building houses 135 rooms, comprising of 4 suites, 63 double rooms, 60 twin rooms and 8 single rooms; all equipped with the most up-to-date technology in terms of comfort. The palace has 12 rooms, all of which are decorated in the style of the era to create a romantic ambience.
The fine dining restaurant offers international fare including classic Portuguese cod dishes, and cocktails and snacks are available throughout the day in the lounge bar, with upholstered seating areas and a glass-roofed courtyard. The wood-panelled drawing room contains antiques and a felt-top card table.
