I'd paid for a standard room (very tiny) and was then moved to a large double overlooking the river. A real surprise in these days of the spiraling Euro. Location is within easy walking distance (and I'm not a walker) of quaint restaurants, Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi Gallery, Duomo and nearly everything else worth seeing in Florence. A wonderful, thrifty choice ! Recommend hopping on local busses to get a real tour of a beautiful city.
