Breakfast very comprehensive & good. Most comfortable bed we've ever had. Air con. in room good but in foyer non existant; not even a fan! At this (Holiday City)special rate, excellent. Close to main railway station & major bus terminal( airport bus etc.) just outside station. Only snag is the run down area if you turn left rather than right - & right is the way to the station & City centre. There is no significant evening restaurant, only a "bistro" type- which is better than nothing!

Never ever go to Renaissance Salzburg Hotel Reviewer: M I Date of review: 24 January 2008 Recommends this hotel: NO Recommended for: Families Room Hotel Facilities 2 Bed 3 Ambience 2 Cleanliness 3 Service 1 Room Size 2 Location 2 Amenities 2 Value for Money 1 When you pay 200 euro/nigh for a double you expect to have best services possible. Unfortunately that was not the case. The package sold by the hotel used words like “deluxe room, 4 courses dinner prepared by our chef in one of our finest restaurants” and so on… by the time we arrived, we realized we had to leave as soon as possible. The room was a normal one, only the sleeping space was refurbished but not the bathroom (it was like a 2 stars maximum), the bed was far too soft. The hotel staff was not friendly at all. They didn’t bother to solve our problems In the morning we had to spend minimum 15 minutes to get a table. After that, if we were lucky we could eat something. Anyhow, we had to ask for several things just because plaits were always empty. Besides the room and the restaurant in the lobby was very cold. Last but not least… the swimming pool. I’m sorry but I can not call it pool because was not bigger that my bad. That was a double bath tube but no more than that. And you know what? When we said after 1 night we wanted to leave (our reservation was for 6 nights!!!!!) they didn’t even bother to ask us if there was something wrong that we changed our mind right before New Years Eve.

With excellent staffs and their warm accomodation, high quality free breakfast, we really enjoyed staying there.
