Warning. We were recommended by the recptionist to eat at the restuarant downstairs below the hotel. The food was awful, we had to send the meat back and the waiter advised us we were not the first to return the steak! Hotel very central and easy to reach from the airport via the metro.

The rooms were reasonable in size and were clean. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the breakfast was more than adequate. The Hotel location is excellent for exploring the city centre. I would recommend this Hotel for a short city break.

At first I thought the area may be very noisy as it was close the the main square, some road works outside and the cafe/restaurant underneath the rooms. In fact the music and entertainment downstairs stopped at midnight. Our rooms overlooked the main square but we didn't hear any noisy revellers late at night, like we might have in most UK cities. The staff spoke excellent English were polite and efficient. Although the breakfast was basic fare, it was adequate. The ability to store our bags until later in the day proved very useful. Everything was very handy, the main attractions, theatre, restaurants, metro and shops. Vivien Stephens Yorkshire UK
