I knew that I was paying for location, so the small room size did not bother me. However, the construction that started at 8 am the morning after Carnevale was simply mindboggling! Apparantly that was the only time they could think of to start installing a new elevator. And the shaft was right next to our room! If the hammering wasn't bad enough, they also treated us to several minute spells of a grinder! It felt like they were going to grind a hole right into our room. It was so bad that it was downright comical. If I weren't so weakened by my well-deserved hangover, I would have been really mad. I was impressed that the mini bar had very reasonable prices for the champagne and beer.

However its location is excellent and was worthwhile due to the period of Carnevale Inadequate hot water supply two out of four mornings meant a cold shower

(Rennovation next to our room). After complaints, they moved us but to the top floor but we could still hear banging.
