Also it took a VERY long time for the hot water to get hot, to the point where I thought it was none existent but it finally did. Gas fireplace was broken. No parking available - except to go to a municipal parking garage 3-4 blocks away or run out every 4 hours during the day and pay a meter.

No towels, small, too-soft bed, no space for two people, no elevator access. the second room (305) was okay, but the amenities were limited. Shamnpoo, tissues were in short supply.

The Talisker, in which we stayed, was in good order and of nice quality. However, we were first accommodated in The Isle of Jura, from which we requested a transfer because of strong odour of cigarette. In general we found The Isle of Jura very unattractive - stuffy, small and the view is just terrible - and we were quite upset because of the room. There is a quite remarkable difference between Talisker and Isle of Jura and it is hard to believe that they have the same rate.
