I wouldn't say anywhere else in Salzberg!

Was given an upgrade to room with largest bathroom in the hotel--partly because few people were there that night, and because we had been there before. Gave us the same room #, which in the interim had been vastly increased in size.

The hotel whilst beautifully appointed offered only a small bar serving grossly overpriced drinks and no other facilities apart from the loan of four English speaking DVD's. However the staff we met were both charming and helpful, especially Elisabeth and Robert who were a credit to the hotel. When comparing the prices of other hotels I would have expected far more. This hotel cannot survive purely on location and appearance and should offer more facilities or greatly reduced rates during off peak periods. After taking my wife for a romantic weekend and ordering a double bed it was disappointing to be given two single beds pushed together even though we were upgraded. I was surprised that a hotel of this stature did not provide tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Other than this the room was fine and the bathroom particularly impressive.
