The original Seiler Hotel is erected on the foundations of the legendary "Lauber Inn", which established Zermatt’s hotel keeping in 1839. In 1855 Alexander Seiler opened the Hotel Monte Rosa here, in the centre of the village. Since over one and a half centuries the most traditional hotel of Zermatt accommodates visitors from around the world.
